潮（六本木）- 右か左かみんなで決める

《潮》は、あるデータから生成された仮想の地形を用いて、地理空間に横たわる不可視な流れを顕にし、その「場」の特性を考察する作品シリーズです。例えば人口統計のデータを使うとすると、統計が取られた地点ごとに、人口の値の相対的な高低が仮想地形上の「高さ」になります。得られたまばらな点の間を数理的に補完することで、地形の「地面」ができます。制作にかかる数理的な処理はアルゴリズムで実装されており、地形・稜線は、作家の主観的意思を介することなく生成されます。本展では、大規模言語モデルを用いた AI が六本木の街を「歩いて」生み出したデータによる地形を展示します。

"Tide" is a series of works that uses virtual landscape generated from data to visualize invisible currents lying in real world and to examine the characteristics of the world we live in. For example, using demographic data, the relative height of the population value at each point where statistics are taken becomes the "height" on the virtual terrain. Mathematical completion between the resulting sparse points creates the "ground" of the terrain. The mathematical process of production is implemented by an algorithm, and the landscape are generated without any subjective intention of the artist. In this exhibition, landscape created by data generated by an AI using a large-scale language model "walking" through the streets of Roppongi will be on display.
